What is Body Contouring?
Localised fat is the accumulation of more fat tissue in certain areas of the body, often due to genetic and hormonal factors. In women the hips, buttocks and inner thighs, and in men the abdomen and waist, are the most common areas.
Fat in these areas can respond more slowly to diet and exercise. Body contouring treatments aim to help achieve slimming in these stubborn areas, a reduction in the appearance of cellulite and smoother body contours.
How does it work?
In local (lipolysis) mesotherapy, active ingredients thought to support the breakdown of fat tissue, local circulation and lymph flow are delivered directly to the target area with fine needles. The aim is to reduce fat tissue in the area and give the skin surface a smoother appearance.
Acupuncture can be added to the programme to support appetite control, stress eating and metabolism. Treatments only give lasting results when combined with a balanced diet and regular activity.
